NFL & Players Care About 1 Thing....Money

Today is the day that the NFL as we have come to know and love it, died........

I will make this short and sweet, as the supposed "labor negotiations" carried on for the past 2+ weeks, one thing has become painfully obvious.....neither the NFL nor the players care about anything but themselves, money, and getting the best possible deal for their respective sides.  I am not criticizing either side for this either, do not take this as criticism, each side is expected to get the best deal possible.  But please as fans of the game, do not let all the talk about "we are doing this for the fans" and "we have to get a good deal for the fans" please do not let that sway you to take sides.  The only reason why the NFL or the players are even mentioning  us (the fans) is so that they can win the PR battle in hopes that we will use our power (we have more than both sides combined if we worked together) to pressure the other side into making concessions and getting a deal done.  If two already wealthy organizations cannot figure out a way to split up over $9 billion in revenue per year (and growing), especially when they have known this was coming for literally 2 years, then it was because they did not want to reach an agreement.  They decided, together (at least they can agree on 1 thing apparently), that they will be able to get a better deal by going to litigation and constantly talking shit about each other and throwing verbal daggers, rather than settling the issue like adults (well maybe the adult way nowadays is litigation).  I type this as I sit here watching Arena Football, unfortunately I have to watch it on the NFL Network, if there were another sport or activity out there that I could become as passionate about, then believe me I would try to take my stand and switch my allegiance to another sport/activity, unfortunately right now there is nothing out there that intrigues me the way football does.  The only thing I can promise I will do from here on out is not let D. Smith, any of the owners, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Tom Brady, or any other player or representative of the NFL convince me that they did this; or are doing this for me and you, the fan.  Just remember in the days, weeks, and months to come; that this all could have been avoided if they wanted to, these 2 sides have let greed and "having to be right/win" take away Americans favorite past time, lets promise to not take sides, and to not let them use us as pawns in this petty fight.
